The plugin manages to populate in InDesign/About Plugins/SDK/PreflightRuleUI(US) with a nice little menu.īut where the F is the Preflight User Interface? It's not in the Preflight Panel, or under Define Preflight, etc. I have it set to build via release_cocoa_64, which spits out a plugin file into /Applications/Adobe CC 2017/Plugins (I set that up via schemes). Under the Window menu, select the Output submenu, then select Preflight. Go to the Preflight Palette Open Adobe InDesign. Save it in a place where it will be easily found and then unzip it. What I'm really after is the PreflightRuleUI plugin, but the damned thing is a mystery. Download the Profile Download our preflight profile. To the top of the panel there is a drop down menu, by default the Basic profile will be selected. ![]() Depending on what document you have open the panel shouldn't be displaying any errors. PreflightRule seems to work, though it offers limited options out of the box. The preflight panel should now be visible. The InDesign Products SDK contains a sample, PreflightRule, that demonstrates how to add custom rules with a plug-in." According to previous documentation, "it is not possible to create custom rules through the Preflight panel or scripting however, this can be done through a C++ plug-in. To clarify: I am trying to add rules that are not currently available in additional rules one can use via Javascript. I'm currently having a go at (trying to) use custom Preflight rules in InDesign. ![]()
